In Heart Healthy Lifestyle

The New York Times recently ran a fairly comprehensive guide to preventing heart disease — and boiled it down to seven essential habits. Some of these habits may be familiar to you, and we’re betting some will take you by surprise!

As Body for the Ages founder, Pax Beale and his associates were proving decades ago, today’s top medical, fitness, and wellness experts are increasingly in agreement that heart disease is absolutely preventable. Body for the Ages’ mission is to aid people in living to their maximum genetic lifespan. If you are susceptible to heart disease, your life does not have to be cut short. By adopting a heart healthy lifestyle, you can eliminate your cardiovascular risks, and raise your quality of life at the same time.

From the New York Times:

“About 80 percent of all cases of cardiovascular disease are preventable. You can lower your risk markedly by  making some changes to your lifestyle including doing some things that are easy, simple and even enjoyable. (Two of our favorites? Drink red wine and get a dog.)”

Do you follow any of these guidelines, and do you have your own heart health habits not mentioned in the article? Please share them in the comments.

Happy autumn from Body for the Ages!
